TikAgent ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the TikAgent platform and services. This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection laws.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 TikTok Profile Information
When you connect your TikTok account via OAuth 2.0, we receive:
- Username: Your TikTok handle
- Display Name: The name shown on your profile
- Avatar: Your profile picture URL
We do not receive or store your TikTok password.
1.2 User Content
- Music files (audio tracks)
- Generated video content
- Post metadata (titles, descriptions, hashtags)
- Publishing settings
1.3 Usage Data
- Features accessed and actions performed
- Publishing activity
- Device and browser information
- General location data (country level)

3. Data Sharing
3.1 TikTok
When you publish content, video files, metadata, and settings are sent to TikTok via the official API — only when you explicitly initiate a publish action.
3.2 AI Service Providers
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Post metadata for content optimization. No personal data or music files shared.
- Runway ML: Audio segments for video generation. Only specific clips, not full tracks or personal data.
3.3 No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Music files and videos are stored locally on your device. TikTok tokens are encrypted. We use HTTPS for all API communication and OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authentication.

7. TikTok API Data Usage

Data may be transferred outside the EEA when publishing to TikTok or using AI features. Transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
